senior session FAQ that every senior should know about, senior girl holding banner from Tarleton State University. Senior is in a purple dress.

When should I book my senior session?

As soon as possible! Every school has a due date for when senior images need to be turned in, and trust me—you don’t want to be scrambling at the last minute. Booking early not only guarantees you a spot on my calendar, but it also gives you time to choose the season and vibe you want for your shoot. Whether you’re dreaming of golden fall colors, spring wildflowers, or a warm summer glow, we’ll get it just right!

What should I wear to my Lubbock senior session?

Choose something comfortable that fits well—not too tight, not too loose. Skip the wild prints unless that’s your style, and if it is, go for it! That said, soft, neutral tones always photograph beautifully and let you shine in the photos. Don’t forget to mix in textures and layers—they add interest and movement that looks amazing on camera. Holly Cove Boutique provided the dress featured above. If you’re looking for something special for your session, be sure to check out this boutique.

What’s the best time of day to take my photos?

Golden hour is where the magic happens! That’s either right after sunrise or about two hours before sunset. This soft, glowy light gives your photos that dreamy, polished look you see all over Instagram and Pinterest.

What should I bring to my session?

Bring anything that helps tell your story. Some ideas:

  • Class ring
  • Letter jacket
  • Any awards or achievements you’re proud of
  • Instruments you play
  • Sports gear or props that represent your activities
  • A change of clothes or two if you want variety
Basically—if it’s meaningful to you, bring it!
  • Florals
  • Banner to represent the college you will be attending

Can I bring someone with me?

Absolutely! Bring a parent, best friend, sibling—whoever makes you feel comfortable. They can help carry outfits or props, and maybe even grab some fun behind-the-scenes videos while we shoot. Or even better, let get them in one photo with you.

Can I book more than one session?

Yes, yes, YES! Want summer and fall vibes? No problem! Booking multiple sessions in different seasons is a great way to show off different sides of your personality and style.

Do you offer cap and gown sessions?

Always! These are such a fun and meaningful way to celebrate all your hard work. We can even add a little toss-the-cap moment at the end!

Do you travel for senior sessions?

Yes, I do! I’m based in the Denver City and Seminole area, but I’ll happily travel outside of that for a small travel fee. Whether you have a cool urban location in mind or a dreamy outdoor spot that’s special to you—I’m there!
