Come take the adventure with me to this family shoot in Boise, Idaho. I recently attended a styled shoot hosted by 3 talented photographers, Cheri, Kelly, and Laura, in Idaho. I enjoyed everything about this trip except that the flight felt long. Several delays added to the time invested.
We were in the mountains of Idaho and found a beautiful trail at the top, which we used for the shoot. The light filtering through the trees gave the most beautiful light to complement the family.
Living in West Texas and then seeing scenery like this makes me question why West Texas. Enough about Texas; back to Idaho.
I arrived in Idaho around noon, which allowed me to drive around and scope out the Capital building. Yes, I did get a little history lesson while I was there.
Our first place to eat was the Lemon Tree restaurant. The Funky Taco was one of my favorite places to eat. You cannot go wrong eating here.
From the restaurant, we headed to the shoot location. As mentioned above, the mountains are beautiful, and the fresh air smells inviting. Doesn’t this make you want to take a trip to Idaho? Don’t let me stop you; the botanical garden was another attractive place to explore and catch up on local history.
The boys and dad came dressed and ready for the session while Laura packed the skirt and dress for Mama and Sister to wear. Laura also provided the earrings. The top Sister wore was made specifically for this shoot by her mama, and it turned out so beautifully.
I enjoyed attending this shoot, and the family was perfect.

Arielle and David's wedding was elegant, to say the least! I observed their private vows from a distance and witnessed tender moments shared between the couple. Although it was a joyous occasion, the wedding was marked by the tragic loss of the groom's mother just weeks before.
Arielle's planning was evident in every aspect of the wedding, and the details of the day were simple yet elegant. Arielle's dress was beautiful.

If I could photograph this West Texas wedding again, I would do so in a heartbeat. Maria and Thomas' wedding was a joy to photograph. I knew the moment I walked into the room that we were going to have a good day.
For the first look, the pecan orchard was a must regardless of the weather. Let me tell you, these images turned out beautiful. The trees were lush green, and the misty rain added to the scene.
