When it comes to taking your family photos what are some of the things you consider or look for in a photographer? Do you feel that family photos are worth the investment? or is it a waste of your time and money? Well, I am here to tell you why I think family photos are worth every penny and how they are not a waste of your time at all.

I’m not saying this to sell you on my services or to convince you to hire me as your photographer. It’s a way to preserve memories and tell your family story.

Every photo tells a story and holds a memory for those involved. When you look back on certain portraits, you are instantly reminded of how you felt before, during, or after that photo. And those memories are real and hold emotions.

I wish I had more pictures of my children and family trips from before cell phones. Now, capturing instant memories is much easier.

I wish I had all of those sweet newborn photos of my children but I don’t because we simply didn’t think it was necessary. But looking back now, I wish I could go back and take the pictures, I wouldn’t let that time slip away.

Yes, I would have all those milestones captured—every single one of them—and I would pay the price. Then, after the portrait session, I would take the time to print the images. There is nothing better than having a tangible photo of your little ones in your hands.
