Beautiful Location
The Monahans Sandhills is such a beautiful location for photos! The sand, the glow of the sun… It gives the images such a magical feel! This session was so easy. Jasper and Delainee were so easy-going and fun to work with!
Props to bring to the session
Some couples bring props for maternity sessions, such as baby shoes, a sonogram, or a baby outfit, but we didn’t use any for this session. Whether there are any props or not, maternity sessions capture memories you will cherish for a lifetime!
Because the sun was still high in the sky, we started the session in a spot where we could get some shade but still a bit of the sun’s glow.
Poses
Delainee and Jasper didn’t have any specific poses they wanted, so I could just go through my usual poses and get creative with some others.
During maternity sessions, I always get some pictures of just the Momma-to-be. There is always a special glow to the soon-to-be Momma, and I love being able to capture that!
Once the sun dropped a bit lower in the sky, we moved further up to get more glowy shots! I like to use the moments of moving from one spot to another to get some walking shots. I got different angles, using the sun to give the pictures a glowy, romantic feel! Sometimes, my favorite shots happen during these in-between moments.
Can’t wait to see them as parents
Delainee and Jasper have such a sweet, calming spirit. I am excited to see them as parents! They are going to do an amazing job! Plus, I’m excited to meet your baby girl.
Finding the right dress
If you need a dress for your session, I have a few maternity dresses available for you to choose from. But I also recommend trying Holly Cove Boutique, often times they carry the cutest dresses.
