A maternity and newborn photography bundle is two sessions in one booking. We meet once while you’re still pregnant, and again in those first few weeks after your little one arrives.
Booking them together saves you money, holds your spot on my calendar early, and gives you one connected set of images from your growing bump to the sweet baby in your arms. It’s one less thing to plan in a season that already asks so much of you… and I love that for you.

What Do You Actually Get in a Maternity and Newborn Photography Bundle?
A maternity and newborn session bundle is two sessions in one booking. We meet once while you’re still pregnant, and again in those first few weeks after your little one arrives.
A lot of parents have never heard the word “bundle” until they start looking for a photographer. That’s okay. You might also see it called a maternity and newborn photography package. Either way, it simply means we plan both sessions at the same time instead of you booking them separately, months apart.
Here’s what’s included:
- A maternity session in the later weeks of your pregnancy
- A newborn session within the first couple of weeks after baby is born
- A private online gallery for each session, ready to download and share
Most people assume a bundle is just a discount. The savings are real, and I’m glad they are. The bigger gift is everything else that comes with it.
You get one photographer, one consistent look across both galleries, and one experience that carries you from your growing bump to the sweet baby in your arms. When you lay those images side by side, they look like they belong together… because they do.
You’ll probably start wondering what to wear pretty quickly. I have a whole post on that, so I’ll keep it simple here: What to Wear for Your Maternity Session. Here are some amazing ideas for maternity dresses if you need some ideas!

Why Booking Both Sessions Together Just Makes Sense
By the time your newborn session comes around, I already know you. I know your names, how you two laugh together, and what matters most to your family. You don’t have to start over with someone new.
Your images share one look, too. Same editing style, same tones, same feel from the first gallery to the second. That consistency is one of the sweetest parts of combined maternity newborn photography.
It’s also one less thing to research at 2 a.m. while you’re feeding a brand new baby. I love that for you.
Something parents don’t always expect is how much smoother the newborn session goes when we’ve already met. You know how I work. You’ve seen how I guide you. You’re not spending the first half hour getting comfortable with a stranger in your space. Babies pick up on that calm, and a relaxed mama usually means a more settled baby.
The most common thing I hear is, “We’ll figure out newborn photos after baby gets here.” I understand it. I really do.
Y’all, the newborn window is short. Those first couple of weeks go by fast, and by the time you’re ready to start looking, a lot of calendars are already full. Booking ahead means it’s already handled, and you can simply enjoy your baby.
How Much Should You Expect to Invest?
My maternity and newborn photography bundles start at $650. Your final investment depends on the collection you choose and any heirloom products you add along the way.
Booked separately, those same two sessions would run about $750. Bundling saves you roughly $100, and it includes an additional savings when booking the one year session, that isn’t part of a single session.
When you invest in these sessions, you’re paying for more than the hour or two we spend together. You’re paying for the years I’ve spent learning how to pose a growing belly with care and how to settle a brand new baby. You’re paying for the time I spend editing your gallery so every image feels like you.
You’re also investing in heirloom products. Prints and albums are made to be held, passed around the kitchen table, and pulled off the shelf when your newborn is heading off to kindergarten.
How Does the Booking Process Actually Work?
Booking your bundle is simple, and you’ll never have to guess what comes next.
- Reach out through my contact page with your due date and a little about your family.
- I’ll send over my pricing guide and answer any questions you have.
- Once you choose your bundle, you’ll sign your contract and pay your retainer online to save your date.
- We’ll set your maternity session, and I’ll hold space on my calendar around your due date for your newborn session.
Between sessions, you’ll hear from me. I’ll check in as your due date gets closer. Once baby arrives, all you need to do is send me a quick message, and I’ll take it from there.
I know you have a lot going on right now, so I keep preparation simple. Before each session, you’ll get a short guide with just what you need to know. No overwhelm, no 20 page manual.
If you’re wondering exactly when to schedule each session, I walk through that here: When to Schedule Maternity and Newborn Photos.
What Happens During Each Part of Your Bundle
Your maternity session is slow and sweet. It’s a chance to pause and celebrate this baby before life gets busy. I’ll guide you through every pose, so you never have to wonder what to do with your hands. Lots of laughing, a few quiet moments, and plenty of time to just be together.
Your newborn session moves at baby’s pace. We take breaks for feeding, cuddling, and diaper changes, and nobody is in a hurry. You can sit back, rest, and let me handle the details.

The two feel different, and that’s a good thing. Your maternity session has a little more energy, with you up and moving and probably laughing more than you planned to. Your newborn session is calmer and quieter, and it usually runs longer since baby sets the schedule.
If you’d like to know more about what happens with your little one during that newborn session, I share all of it here: What to Expect at Your Newborn Session.
How Do You Find a Photographer You Truly Trust?
A beautiful portfolio matters. You’re also inviting this person into one of the most tender times of your life, and into your baby’s very first weeks.
Look at how they communicate, how they talk about newborn safety, and what other families say about working with them. Pay attention to how you feel after talking with them, too.
One green flag most people overlook is how a photographer handles your questions before you ever book. If they answer patiently, without pressure, and you walk away feeling calmer, that’s usually how your sessions will feel. A red flag is someone who rushes you or can’t clearly explain how they keep your baby safe and comfortable.
Most of my families find me through a friend or family member who has already worked with me. I keep sessions unrushed, I talk you through everything I’m doing, and I never ask you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.

The Maternity and Newborn Photography Bundle: What to Know Before You Book
November 3, 2026

Good point about the newborn window. The sleepy, curled-up poses usually work best in roughly the first two weeks, and parents who wait until baby is home to start calling around often end up past that. Holding a due-date spot up front fixes most of it. What happens when a baby shows up early, before the maternity session has happened? Do you fold the bump photos into a quick session with all three of you, or just move straight to the newborn one?
I’ve only had this happen one time, and in that case we moved straight into the newborn session. Baby was here, mama was ready to celebrate that sweet new life, and it just made sense to shift our focus.
Since we missed the maternity photos, I offered her a 6 month session in its place, and she was so happy with that. It gave her another milestone to look forward to and more memories of that first year.
