Lisa and Alan’s classic wedding was an absolute dream to photograph. The flowers and greenery on the tables made the reception room look elegant. Be Schmitten Designs did a fabulous job bringing the bride’s vision to life. Not only were the tables beautiful, but the color scheme of the wedding day was timeless.

I love it when brides take the time to plan the details of their wedding day carefully. I see it way too often during a wedding that a bride is not sure of the theme she wants for her wedding. Therefore, she ends up with various looks going on, and it’s hard to focus on what was the vibe of the wedding.

For this reason, I encourage my brides to go to an event decorator to help them decide on the theme and color coordination of the wedding. The coordinator should be able to help them nail down a specific theme and colors that flow with it.

The pastor so happened to walk into the room while I was photographing the groom getting ready. Apparently, there is an inside joke of them straightening their collars and a pat on the cheek. Surprisingly, I could photograph that moment for the groom, making a fun memory for years.

The girls got ready at the bride’s future home. She had taken the time to make homemade waffles and pudding for the girls before anyone showed up at her house. While the girls giggled and reminisced about the fun times they shared, Bohoen Junkie did the bride’s hair, and Elizabeth did the bridesmaids’ hair.

The wedding ceremony and reception were held at the Grace Mennonite Fellowship Church in Seminole, Texas.

During the reception, I captured genuine laughs from the bride and groom.
